Amber Bateman, LPC-A

Amber has a M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) in South Carolina. Amber previously studied Communications in Florida and Religious Studies in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Amber has over ten years of experience in the helping profession, serving with a therapeutic wilderness camp, pregnancy care center, Florida Sheriff Youth Ranch, Sexual Assault Response Program, Student Counseling Services, and at a private Christian counseling practice. She enjoys helping clients through a variety of difficulties, including anxiety, adjustment and acculturation struggles, adoption adjustment, spiritual concerns, grief and loss. She especially loves working with college students, third culture kids (TCKs), and minority populations. She is the (co)author of two books, Little Women in the Wilderness (2012) and Reflections Along the Trail (2016). Amber and her husband (Greg) have two young boys. They enjoy domestic & international travel, acting, and good food.
