Samantha Monson, LPC-A
Samantha received her Bachelor of Science and Masters in Counseling from Clemson University. Prior to becoming a counselor, Samantha worked with high school and college students through a non-profit, outreach ministry called Young Life. It was through that experience, that she developed a passion for helping others navigate life’s challenges and pursue self-discovery, growth, and emotional health.
Samantha has worked as a counselor in a school based setting for about five years and has experience working with a variety of people and backgrounds. She provides counseling for anxiety, depression, trauma, transition, relationship conflict, self-esteem, and other stage of life concerns. Her hope is to provide a safe and supportive therapeutic setting to help clients utilize their strengths to process, receive support, and move through life’s challenges. She uses a combination of different therapeutic theories and techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Person-Centered Theory, Choice Theory, and Motivational Interviewing.
Samantha is a Tennessee native, but has been in the Upstate for about ten years. In her free time she enjoys being outside, traveling, running, reading, and spending time with her family, friends, and her rescue pup, Summit.
