Campbell Norman, intern
Campbell is a graduate student pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in English from Clemson University, with a minor in Psychology. Born and raised in the Upstate, Campbell is excited to continue serving the community she has always called home.
Campbell has a background as a behavioral therapist with children with autism and later as an eighth-grade English teacher. These experiences deepened her appreciation for the unique strengths, personalities, and experiences that shape each person and helped lead her toward a career centered on supporting others.
Campbell is committed to creating a warm, welcoming, and supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel safe to be themselves, share their stories, and work through life’s challenges without fear of judgment. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is an important foundation for meaningful growth and takes a gentle, person-centered approach that is tailored to each client’s individual needs and goals. Campbell enjoys working with people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds, with particular interests in children, individuals with disabilities, women, and older adults.
Campbell is a Registered Yoga Teacher – her experience with yoga has strengthened her value of the connection between the mind and body, as well as the importance of mindfulness, self-awareness, and compassion.
Outside of counseling, Campbell and her husband love hiking, camping, walking, biking along the Swamp Rabbit Trail, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family. Campbell also loves reading, crafting, nature, and making coffee and tea. And although she found her way to counseling, she still occasionally wonders if her childhood dream of becoming a stand-up comedian might have worked out.
