Susan Jenkins, LPC-A

Susan’s favorite place to be is curled up in a chair with a cup of coffee, interacting with the intricate details of people’s stories. Susan enjoyed mentoring young adults for more than 30 years before pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grace College and Seminary in Indiana. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and is trained in EMDR therapy.

Susan’s experience includes working with adults of all ages, from college students to those in post-retirement years. She also has experience with pregnant and parenting teenagers. She sees clients who desire to address issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, life transitions, anger management, relationship challenges, or faith-based issues. She has found joy watching clients find freedom when using EMDR in their therapy sessions. She also incorporates Adlerian theory, somatic approaches, and ego-state therapy (parts work) into her clinical practice. Ultimately, she desires to equip and empower clients to find their own unique strengths to handle life’s adversities.

Susan enjoys spending time with her husband of 32 years, traveling to see their three adult children across the globe, and adventures with their yellow lab, Poppy.

Susan currently has openings for virtual appointments. You can contact her directly at sjenkins@citycentercounseling.org.
